The architectural form, plan and site plan of this research and development facility is an abstracted visual representation of the human hand skin cells.

The 700,000 sf Institute's goals are to conduct advanced biological research in 4 major areas of study: Genetics and Molecular Biology, Neurosciences, Plant Biology, and Population Science. Knowledge acquired by the Institute's scientists will provide new understanding and potential new therapies to treat fatal diseases, brain abnormalities, and birth defects. The research will also help improve the future quality and availability of the world's food supply.

Designed to be a highly secured facility, this research institute proposal also includes a conference center, dormitory and an exercise and fitness facility.
